答案First of all we’d like to know something about you,Candidate A, so I’m going to ask you some questions. How do you like university life? Which aspect of university life do you find most interesting (stimulating/challenging/exciting/enjoyable) ? I’m a third year student. I think college is interesting and inviting. I enjoy it a lot. I learned very a lot from my university life and I’m growing. The most challenging aspect in university is that I should try to be excellent both in study and other aspects. In my class, everyone studies hard, and they also pay attention to promoting their competitive ability by attending many kinds of activities. For example, one of my classmates has a part-time job in a bank. So I should study hard and attend some activities to keep up with my classmates. By this way, I find I am no longer a child, I’m more self-dependent now. How are you getting along with your classmates? I get along with my classmates very well. I’m an extroverted girl. So I have many friends, and the relations between me and my classmates are very good. The boys are all very gentle, and all of our girls like them very much. All the girls in my class live in the same dorm building, so we play together in our spare time. We study together and help each other. You’ve already finished quite a number of courses in the university. Which course do you think is most interesting? Why? The most interesting course is the course named "Marketing". There are so many case studies in this course, such as those on Coca-cola, GE and so on. There are also many cases about the construction of China. In this course, all the students are divided into several groups to discuss. Before discussion everybody can make a presentation. In this way we learn very much about marketing, and we also can promote our speaking ability. E How do you like the food in the dining halls? A There are seven dining halls in my university. They have their own qualities respectively. Some food is very delicious, though it’s not as tasty as the food in restaurants and my home. Several months ago, there was a new dining hall completed. It’s very beautiful and clean. As soon as I enter this dining hall, I’m always hungry because the food in this dining hall is so tasty. There is so much spicy food which is my favorite kind of food. E Thank you. Now we’d like to know something about you,Candidate B, so I’m going to ask you some questions. E What do you usually do on weekends? B Now I have a part-time job on the weekends. So I don’t even rest after five days of study. It’s a trade corporation. Because my major is international trade, I want to develop my experience. It’s very important for my future job hunting. Although it is a bit tiring, I enjoy it. I want to challenge myself to grow. Several months ago, my weekend life was very comfortable. I got up very late in the morning and I would go shopping or chat with my good friends. It’s really memorable. E Can you tell us something about the activities organized by the Student Union in your university? B The Student Union is a good part of my university. Every term the Student Union organizes many activities. There are several activities which impress me most. Just several days ago, the Student Union invited a famous foreign professor to give us a lecture on the academic career. In this lecture, the professor told us why he chose academics as his career, and the abilities we should have if we want to go in for academic work. It’s really edificatory. E Are you interested in participating in the work of the Student Union? Give your reasons. B Now I’m a member of the organization department. I’m interested in this work very much. Firstly, I can do something for the students of my university, it’s a pleasant thing. Secondly, in the activities organized by the Student Union, I can make many new friends. I can learn much from them. It makes my life colorful and rich. Finally, I can promote many abilities in this way, such as the ability of organization. I learn how to deal with different people, and how to solve difficult problems, so I’m interested in it. I’ll try my best to better my work in the Student Union.
