People in every field live a convenient life with the help of digital products in daily life. With digital products in hand, business people can do business with foreign trade partners; students can take online courses at will; family members can chat and see each other even though they are separated by thousands of miles, etc. Everybody can see digital products really play an important role in modern society. However, every coin has two sides. To some extent digital products have been proved to be a double-edged sword. Although modern people benefit so much from digital products, we can not neglect its negative influence on us, especially on young people. For example modern communication brings people not only fast speed and convenience but also isolation and indifference. When people get off work, they can use computers to kill time. They chat on line through instant message tools, purchase commodities through online shops, entertain themselves by online music, films, computer games or e-books. As a result people become indifferent to others in reality and live in a world of fantasy. Recently there is an increasing number of people who are getting seriously addicted to Internet, which has caused some experts and psychologists’ attention. To sum up, society’ s progress can not be made without digital products; but it is also the high time to take every necessary means to avoid digital products’ possible side effects.
