I lost my laptop and some important papers when I was in my second year of university. The experience was so bitter that I can still remember it. I was on my way home from the university that day. I took a bus and had a bag that contained my laptop, charger, some music DVDs, a USB drive, two books and some necessary papers. I lost the bag so the things in it were all gone. I remembered because there was no seat available, so I had to stand inside the bus. After an hour, I got off the bus and took a shared taxi home. Finally, when I got home, entered my room and sat down, then, out of the blue, I realized that I was empty-handed, and my bag was gone. I jumped to my feet and bolted out of the room to the street and tried to remember exactly where I lost it. But nothing rang a bell. I felt so low and upset that I couldn’t sleep all night. Even though I knew that there was only a remote possibility of finding my stuff, I gave it my best shot. I’d reported to the nearby police station and got in touch with the bus authority. However, after 7-8 days, I gave up all hopes that I might get my items back. The laptop was really important to me because it had lots of valuable study materials and other files. So, frankly, the whole experience was quite depressing.
