答案 Opportunity and Success When it comes to the factors of success, people tend to regard hard work as the key one, while ignoring the role opportunity might play. As far as I am concerned, opportunity is one of the elements of success. But opportunities don’t come often. And not all opportunities will definitely lead to success. Moreover, opportunities are usually disguised as hard work; therefore most people don’t recognize them. Successful people know how to seize and make the best use of opportunities available to them. To them, opportunity is an exterior precondition of potential success, while hard work is an interior precondition, which alone does not necessarily contribute to success. Man’s wisdom and opportunities he has been granted are a sure guarantee of a successful career. Here I would like to mention the great inventor Albert Einstein as the best example. We all know that Einstein established the Theory of Relativity, but his fate could never have been any better than that of other Jews during World War Ⅱ if Hitler had come to power earlier. A fine combination of both hard work and opportunity eventually led to his success. As an old saying goes, "no pains, no gains". It is absolutely true that without exerting oneself, one could never expect to achieve success in what one is doing. When an opportunity comes, it brings a promise but never realizes it on its own. II you want to achieve something, you must make efforts and get prepared. Otherwise, you will take no advantage of opportunities when they come to you. The difference between a man who succeeds and one who does not lies only in the way each treats opportunities. The successful person always makes adequate preparations to meet opportunities as they duly arrive. The unsuccessful person, on the other hand, works little and just waits to see them pass by. In my opinion, there are lots of opportunities for everyone in our society, but only those who have made enough preparations and are highly talented can make use of them to achieve their purpose. However, opportunity is open to everyone and one should make good use of it when confronted with it. One should take advantage of it just like the proverb states: "Opportunities are only for the prepared minds." So when one is faced with choices next time, remember that using the mind and taking advantage of good opportunities will pave the way to success.
