答案
More and more people take smoking as a habit, and even regard smoking as personal freedom. They claim that it is not fair for the government to ban smoking. To my knowledge, smoking is definitely harmful to human beings, and our government must take immediate measures to prohibit smoking, particularly in public places. I can sum up the following reasons to support my viewpoint above. First of all, smoking does great harm to our health. As doctors observed so often, smoking is largely responsible for lung problems. This is an open secret now. What’s more, children are especially vulnerable to the harmful effects of smoking. If a mother smokes a lot, her child will certainly develop certain diseases related to respiration. Besides, smoking is likely to cause fires, so as to damage our property. Therefore, I firmly believe that it is the duty of the government to put an end to smoking in our society. Of course, some special areas can be set aside for those smokers so that they may not influence the non smoking public.
