RE: Employee "Shadow" Day 2009
Armwar industries is participating in the National .lob Shadow Day 2009, a new program being implemented to introduce young people to various types of jobs and provide them with some first-hand experience through a one-day mentoring experience. Shadow Day is the perfect way to introduce today’s youth—tomorrow’s future employees—to the opportunities in an industry. Last year the hospitality industry introduced approximately 30,000 high school students to career opportunities In nearly 2,500 restaurants and hotels. This year over 100,000 students and 1,500 businesses will participate in the Job Shadowing program across the country. The program is being sponsored by the government and is being organized through the State Work Employment Agency. It involves students being paired with a workplace mentor who they will "shadow" through out the day on December 12. To get involved in the program, fill out a form online at www.SWEA.org/ShadowDay or call us at 1 -800-8765-0987. We hope you’ll take the time to get involved.

Subject: Questions on shadow day
Mr. Sommersby,
1 am writing to confirm that our company is joining this year’s Job Shadow Day. Besides, I’d like to ask some questions we encounter during the preparation for the day.
Firstly, is there a limitation on the number of employees participating in the activity? Since the notice was posted, we have received many responses from our staff to volunteer on December 12. I was wonder if there is a limitation. If so, I would like to clarify things to my staff so as to prevent real disappointment.
Then, we got a list of students who are in the Shadow Day activity on www. SWEA. org, but how are the studenls going to be paired with employees? Do we pair by ourselves and then contact the each specific student or hand in a namelist of our employees to the organizer?
I would appreciate, a quick reply very much for the day is just around the corner and I prefer everything ready and successful. Thank you very much.
Regards,
Bridget Ellesmere
