In view of China’s current resource reserve, many people say we have to stick to the one-child policy. People, however, differ in their opinions on this matter. A number of people relate many problems to the one-child policy, such as the shortage of labor force, accelerated growth of the aging population and the imbalance in male and female births. Therefore, they believe it’s high time to stop this policy. Everything will bring both positive and negative effects. If some measures can be taken, such as adjusting the subsidy policy, or providing more support to one-child families, the side-effects of the one-child policy can be limited to the minimum.
