答案 In Picture 1, a girl is stepping forward on a ladder which is connected by two gears, actually two clocks. The clock on the ground represents the goal she has reached, and the other one symbolizes the dream she has not achieved yet. The cartoon aims at informing us that we should not ignore the importance of taking action while pursuing our dreams. Definitely, no one can deny the importance of dreams. Our dreams will prevent us from quitting easily especially when we are in great trouble. They will lead us to the destination we are eager to reach, bring out the best in us and stimulate us to remain firm in our faith. To further illustrate the importance of dreams, I would like to take Helen Keller as a case in point: how could she, a disabled woman who was born blind and deaf, finally become a world-renowned writer who wrote If I Had Three Days to See without her dreams to overcome physical limitations. However, we can’t ignore the importance of taking action. The more action we take, the more likely we are to accumulate experience, master skills and get close to our destination. To further demonstrate the importance of taking action, I would like to take the famous Chinese fable story Yugong’s story as a case in point: How could the "foolish old man" who dreamed of removing the mountain in front of his gate finally achieve his dream without taking constant activity. To sum up, dream guides action; action facilitates dream.
