Putting Labels on Students

答案
Putting Labels on Students Recently, a lot of news that teachers put different labels on students appeared in the media. The different labels are used to distinguish poor students and top ones. For example, some schools may give top students red notebooks, but give green notebooks to poor ones. Attitudes towards this phenomenon vary from person to person. On the one hand, people think it is good for inspiring the so-called good students, and impelling poor ones to behave better. On the other hand, people show their deep concern over this measure. They hold that it may hurt poor students’ self-esteem. Every coin has two sides. Putting labels on students may have some advantages. But in my opinion, the disadvantages far outweigh its advantages. Firstly, the measure of grading students violates the rules of education. It would influence the teaching effects. Secondly, this kind of unfair distinction could mislead students’ understanding about good and bad. Thirdly, putting labels on students would do harm to students’ psychology. Thus, this behavior should be forbidden though the teachers do it without malice.
