答案 As is depicted by the chart, there is a series of figures showing the changes in the number of females receiving different levels of higher education. The number of girls accepted by colleges increased from 30% in 1996 to 45% in 2014, and the number of girls furthering their studies as postgraduates increased from 38% to 55% , with the percentage of those receiving education as doctors staying at a relatively low level of about 30%. So what can be inferred from these statistics? It is obvious that females are very diligent and intelligent and they can achieve their goals in the academic studies as long as they want to and strive to. Nevertheless, a large portion of female students have to give up their further academic research after postgraduate study due to the fact that they place very much emphasis on their families and children rather than on their further career building. To take an objective attitude towards the phenomenon reflected by the chart is very important. The whole society, especially the man, should bear in mind that women are great in their talent, but they sacrifice their personal pursuit to support their family. It is imperative that we step up action to protect and respect women in our current society.
