   First aid is emergency treatment for illness or injury while waiting for medical help. At one time or another almost everyone is called upon to render first aid. Unless she or he has taken a course on the subject, there is usually confusion and doubt as to what should be done. In most cases it is better for the person untrained in first aid to do too little than too much. If it is not possible to reach a doctor, police or firemen are better equipped to give first aid than are the uninitiated.
   It is advisable for at least one member of the family to take a FIRST AID course, and it is a necessity for each household to have a good emergency medical manual and a first-aid kit. Always keep in mind that first aid does not replace the doctor but merely attempts to keep the victim alive and in the best condition possible until medical aid arrives.

Nearly everyone is requested to offer the first-aid at any time when something urgent happens. Yet, if the person hash’ t got any training for this kind of help, he or she will be at a loss as to what should be done and those better equipped police or firemen are preferred to lend a helping hand in most cases. So, it’s necessary for people to get some ideas about the situation and at least one family member should take the first-aid course to learn some knowledge on the subject. It’ s also important for each household to have a good emergency manual and the first-aid kit to handle the urgent case.
