    Can We Fight Cancer More Effectively Today?
    Although there is still much to be learned about cancer, our knowledge of the disease has grown steadily in recent years. We have a better understanding of the disease and are finding ways to【C4】______it. Early recognition of the signs of cancer, prompt diagnosis, and aggressive treatment by the appropriate means have made the word cancer less【C5】______than it used to be.
