答案 The pie chart illustrates different ways the respondents purchase books. As can be seen, 44% of them would choose to buy books online, and a further 16% would browse books in physical bookstores and then make the purchase online. 38% of them prefer to buy books in physical bookstores. The remaining 2% have other options. The survey results confirm the pervasive influence of the Internet on people’s consumption behavior. As is known to us, buying books online is cheaper and more convenient. In physical bookstores, however, you have to carry tons of books back home and the prices cannot easily be discounted. That’s why more and more people enjoy buying books online. In my opinion, if physical bookstores are to survive in the Internet age, they must have human touch, which turns out to be impossible for online stores. For instance, reading desks, sofas, cafes and bakery could be made available in the bookstores, attracting and retaining customers with a welcoming and nice ambience.
