How did he succeed according to himself?
(David W. Oskin, Executive vice-president, International Paper United States about what makes the difference in his job.)
F: How did you get where you are today?
M: A lot of hard work — sticking to it when it would have been much easier to ignore the difficult tasks and problems. Also, being persistent, setting challenging goals for myself and not being satisfied with just coming to work. I love involvement and I want to succeed for those who have invested in our company.
F: What was the most important lesson you learned on your way up?
M: A lesson for everyone: people make the difference. You accomplish through people; machinery is important but you can’t succeed without getting everyone committed and involved. Everyone in the organization is important and vital.
F: What advice would you give to a young person starting out in your field of business?
M: Be inquisitive, curious, creative and committed to excelling in all that you do. Be approachable, caring and go out of your way to help others. Take on the difficult tasks — that is how you get noticed!
选项
A、People make the difference, and you accomplish everything thorough people.
B、Machinery is important.
C、You can’t succeed without getting everyone committed and involved.
D、Not everyone in the organization is important and vital.
答案
D
解析
细节题。注意文中选不是David的意见,对话中“Everyone in the organization is important and vital”与D选项意思相反,即D不是David的意见。
