答案
Mini presentation for 2 candidates (about 5 minutes) . Interlocutor: Thank you. That’s the end of the first part of the test. In the next part you are each going to talk on your own. Now, I’m going to give each of you a card with two topics. I’d like to choose one topic and talk about it for about one minute. You have one minute to prepare for this. You are allowed to make notes. All right? Here are your topics. [Each candidate is handed a different topic card, and some paper and a pencil for notes.] Interlocutor: Choose one of the topics and prepare to talk about it. Remember you can make notes if you wish. [1 minute’s preparation time. Both candidates prepare their talks at the same time, separateiy.] Interlocutor : All right now. * B, which topic have you chosen, A, or B? So would you like to talk about what you think is important when looking for a new supplier’? [B talks.] There are many aspects we should pay attention to when we’re looking for a new supplier. Firstly, the quality of goods is an important factor. A supplier that offers goods with poor quality should be ignored. Secondly, delivery time is another concern. To some extent, time means money. Goods must be delivered on time and sold out if we want to increase margin profits. Thirdly, there is still another factor which should be paid proper attention to. That is discounts. Everyone want to buy goods with excellent quality and a low price. We are no exception! That’s all. Thank you. Interlocutor: Thank you. Now. * A, what do you think is the most important"? [A replies.] I think, among quality, delivery times and discounts, quality is of the most importance. Thank you. All right. Now, * A, which topic have you chosen , A, or B ? So would you like to talk about what you think is important when applying for a job? [A talks.] Well, we should take interview, appearance and CV into consideration. Firstly, a successful interview can give the interviewer a good impression that you are suitable for the position. Secondly a good appearance is good but not necessary. A man who dreams of finding a good job by appearance will encounter failures. Thirdly, we should well organize our CV or resume. But, It’s also wrong to put all your chances in it. That’s all. Thank you. Now, * B, which do you think is the most important ? [B replies.] I guess, between three of them, interview is the most important. Because we can easily measure one’s ability and character from a discussion. Thank you. [Materials are collected.] USE CANDIDATES’ NAMES THROUGHOUT THE TEST
