In my opinion, tourism can both protect and damage a culture. For another, while culture is used as a tool to make money, the government and tourism agencies may only pay attention to the profitable cultural projects and ignore those unremunerative ones with the same cultural and historical value. As a result, the existence and continuation of cultural diversity cannot be guaranteed. In conclusion, tourism can be a double-edged sword to local culture. Therefore, a sound and mutually beneficial relationship should be built between the protection of culture and the development of tourism.
