答案 As is shown in the table, great changes have been taking place in people’s diet over period from 1986 to 1990. The consumption of grain is decreasing year by year; while that of some high-energy food, such as milk and meat, is increasing steadily. There are two major reasons for the change in people’s diet. On the one hand, after the carrying out of the reform and open to the outside world policy, people have become rich, which enables them to afford food with more nutrition. On the other hand, people have more knowledge in improving the structure of their diet. They not only pay attention to the quantity but also the quality of what they eat. From the above, we can see that people’s living level has been rising markedly in the past five years.
