问题     Read the texts in which five people talked about their views about love and marriage. For questions 61 to 65, match the name of each person (61 to 65) to one of the statements ( A to G) given below. Mark your answers on ANSWER SHEET 1.
Petty Quain:
Somehow it seems to happen again and again. I meet an attractive, intelligent man and fall in love with him. At first, everything is wonderful. But after a while, I begin to notice small, irritating things about him. It may be the way he laughs, or perhaps the kind of clothes he wears. Then, I begin to feel I don’t really love him after all. I tell myself I shouldn’t be critical or feel the way I do, but it doesn’t help. In the end, I usually just want to be left alone. Sometimes, I can’t even stand the sight of him.
Henry? Sharp:
Several times I’ve met a woman who seemed to be the right person at first. But, for some reason or other, it has never worked out. Take Cynthia, for example. She was intelligent as well as beautiful and came from the right social background, too. But then I found out that she was still seeing an old boyfriend of hers. She had told me that her relationship with him was all over. Obviously, when I found out that she had lied to me, I simply couldn’t trust her any more. Or take Sarah, I think I really loved her very deeply. But unfortunately she didn’t share my religious views.
Edith Lawson:
Many people ask my husband and me why we decided to sign a marriage agreement before we got married. We found that many problems are caused when a person has different expectations from his or her spouse. We wanted to talk about everything openly and honestly before we started living together. Also we both know how important it is to respect each other’s pet peeves. Like, I can get very annoyed if others leave stuff clothing, papers, everything! —lying around on the floor. So we put that in the agreement. This agreement shows that we sat down and talked, and really tried to understand the other person.
Jason Morris:
Marriage is a bond of love that ties two souls together for as long as they live. The husband and wife are supposed to love each other, to be faithful to each other, and to share joy and sorrow through god times and bad, marriage is sustained by mutual affection, trust and care, not by an agreement to observe some rules of behavior. These rules seem to be suitable only for roommates, not spouses.
Saundra Watts:
I think it is very natural for people to give first priority to economic status in choosing a spouse. We all know how important money is. Without money, we can hardly do anything. Lack of money in a marriage will cause problems to the couple. Even though the couple may have married for love, being always hard-pressed for money, love will soon be replaced by quarrels and endless worries over money matters. If this happens, can they live happily together?
Now match each of the five people (61 to 65) to the appropriate statement.
Note: there are two extra statements.
Statements
[A] I expect the woman I finally marry to agree with me on such basic things as that.
[B] Marry in haste, repent in leisure.
[C] Happiness in marriage does not depend on material wealth.
[D] It is very important to first consider if your future spouse is able to share the responsibility of supporting a family.
[E] Will I ever meet a man I can really love?
[F] A lot of problems occur in a marriage when people don’t talk about what they want.
[G] I think a marriage agreement is ridiculous.
Henry Sharp

选项

答案A

解析 Henry也会遇到恰当的人选,但是Cynthia对他撒谎,而sarch 的宗教观跟他的不同,所以选A“我希望我娶的女子在这些基本问题上跟我一致”。
