According to China Youth Daily, more than 20% of last year’s college graduates quit their jobs within six months; among the graduates of three years ago, each of them has changed jobs twice within three years and 88% of college graduates have quit their jobs on their own. Young people now are no strangers to job-hopping. As a college student about to enter into the job market, what do you think push young employees to frequent job-hopping in China? Write an essay of about 400 words. You should supply an appropriate title for your essay.

The Causes of Job-hopping Each year, with the advent of Spring Festival, employers are filled with mixed feelings. On the one hand, they are celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year. On the other hand, they are doubtful that some of their employees will show up after the holiday, because it is believed that the period after Spring Festival is the "prime time" to switch jobs. In my opinion, the upsurge of job-hoppers is resulted from two-fold factors—the assertive individuality and the availability of jobs. First and foremost, employees are more concerned about their individuality than ever before. Turnover is particularly rampant among young workers born in 1980s, many of whom are the only child in the family. They enjoy more prosperity and have higher expectations of their careers. Unlike their senior generations who consider it’s an honor to work where they are needed and a great shame to be jobless, the post-80s put more emphasis on career prospects and salary. The mismatch between bitter reality and high expectations then leads to the fact that young employees constantly feel hurt and underestimated. Given this disharmony, it is only natural that they keep switching jobs and seeking a promising working climate for their expectations and sensitive esteems. Furthermore, more jobs are available than ever before and employees need not limit their career choice to one and only posting. Years ago, due to a lack of job opportunities, employees were content with one job and chances were that they were stuck with the job for their lifetime. However, gone are the days when we had to bear with the scarcity of jobs. If you are unhappy with a certain boss, or do not come to terms with the corporate culture, you may hop to another job with your head held up high. You will be impressed by the sheer amount of job offerings on the recruiting websites. With the increased job opportunities, you might land a job offer with much higher salary on the same day you resign. Therefore, people now do not easily get attached to their organization, because they are aware that the outside world is full of opportunities. Once a headhunter offers a more attractive remuneration package, they might switch to another job, a bigger pond for a big fish. In short, the individuality-mindset and the abundance of job postings in China attribute to the job-hopping phenomenon amongst the Chinese youths.
