The reasons why people are enthusiastic about pursuing postgraduate education may be concluded as follows. Firstly, the belief that education would eventually pay off has long been embedded in many people’s mind. It is natural that they believe postgraduate education will help them unlock the door to a brighter future. Secondly, when the job market is weak, many people, especially young graduates, are forced to shelter in postgraduate schools to seek temporary refuge. Thirdly, there are people who want to further their academic study at higher-quality universities. As I see it, for whatever reasons people decide to further their study, they should make their decisions carefully. Once they’ve made up their mind, they should devote themselves to the exam preparation as the preparation process itself is rewarding.
