The Opening-up and Reform since 1978 has improved the development of economy in China, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of sports in China. Thus, without the Opening-up and Reform, the 32 gold medals would be a pie in the sky. What’s more, the international sports exchanges has brought about the growth of Chinese sports. On the one hand, we sent Yao Ming to NBA and Liu Xiang to participate in international events of various kinds. On the other hand, we have invited foreign sports professionals to come to China and coach our national teams. Therefore, without the international exchanges, the 32 gold medals would be an empty talk. In sum, the Opening-up and Reform and the international exchanges have brought about the tremendous achievements. In my view, China will achieve greater achievements in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. First of all, sports activity has become a part of our life. In addition, 1.3 billion Chinese are making joint efforts for the coming Olympic Games. I do deem Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is bound to be the most successful one in Olympic history.
