Several days ago the government announced that a new shopping center would be built in our neighborhood, which caused the hottest discussion among the residents. When asked about whether we need a shopping center in the neighborhood, some maintain that there are many advantages in having a new shopping center, while others strongly object to having the new shopping center. In my personal opinion, I have the idea that we need a shopping center in the neighborhood. The reasons are as followings: First of all, the new shopping center will give a much greater degree of comfort and convenience. With the new shopping center we can buy what we like and need with much shorter time so that we can save lots of energy and enjoy our leisure fully. Secondly, with the policy, the new shopping center will employ the laid-off workers in our district, which will ease the burden of the government and be better to the blossom of the economy. On considering the advantages the new shopping center brings, I have concluded that the advantages of having the new shopping center overweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we actually need a shopping center in our neighborhood.
