答案 Nowadays one of the fundamental problems China faces is the conflict between the increasing demand of social development and the limitation of energy resources. People may have heard of this problem, but not everyone is paying actual attention to its seriousness. As can be seen from the caricature, the mother and her daughter feel both astonished and confused to find the dazzling lights over the bulletin board under the strong daylight, while the slogan drawn on the board is appealing to an economical social style and a sustainable development. This problem may arise from the following factors. To begin with, there is often a deficiency of education on the preservation of resources. According to a recently published report from the state council, only 30% of the people surveyed are aware of the frugal use of resources. In the second place, though the government has made various policies to forbid, even to punish, the waste of resources, some local governments don’t implement these policies effectively. Surprisingly, some government officials themselves are paying no attention to the waste of energy resources, turning the temperature of air-conditioner lowest in summer while leaving the doors open in their offices. Whatever the reason, the issue has turned a crippling force to the development of our country. Therefore, some measures should be taken to put an end to this problem. On the one hand, our government should make more efforts to ban the waste of resources. On the other hand, we should launch a publicizing campaign to enhance people’s awareness of the harmfulness of waste of resources to our economy and life. Only through these attempts can we hope to solve the problem.
