W: Hey Carl! Check this out! I just picked up three new Hollywood movies. They haven’t even been released in theaters yet!
M: Um... You mean they’re illegal copies?
W: Sure! They only cost a couple of bucks each!
M: Yeah, (19) but I just don’t think it is right to buy illegal goods. I don’t want to sound too critical, but I think it’s wrong.
W: But Carl, those Hollywood film companies make millions of dollars because (20) the prices they charge are too high! I could buy 35 illegal DVDs for the price of one original!
M: Actually, I agree with you there. The movie studios do need to reduce their prices to something more reasonable. And I believe that will begin to change soon. Pretty soon everything will be digital and (21) you’ll be able to go online and cheaply buy a legal copy to download. Prices should start to go down soon.
W: (21) It’s already happened to music. I can now buy single song online legally at a very cheap price. In the past I had to buy the whole CD, but usually I only liked a couple of the songs in it.
M: It’s really a good example for film industry to learn. (22) Besides, the quality of illegal DVDs is really terrible.
W: (22) You are right. Some of them are pretty bad. Sometimes you can barely hear the dialogues because the audio is so poor.
M: Then why not really enjoy the movie by renting a legal copy? Furthermore, you don’t usually watch films. The DVDs you bought just sit on your shelf taking up space!
W: That’s true. I have 1,000 of these things just lying around. OK, I can sort of see your point. But originals are still too expensive!
