you are supposed to write according to the following situation:
In the past, a university could expel regular students if they got married during their studies. This ban has compelled students who were contemplating marriage or got pregnant to make painful choices—to give up study or delay marriage or have an abortion. But, since 2003 , more than 70 universities on the Chinese mainland had lifted the marriage ban to give the green light to student couples who want to marry. People have different opinions on this issue. What do you think of it? Requirements: Write on the ANSWER SHEET an essay of about 400 words to expound clearly your viewpoint on the issue. You should supply an appropriate title for your essay.
You are to write in three parts. In the first part, state specifically what your thesis statement is. In the second part, give appropriate details or reasons to support your thesis statement. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary.
Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriateness. Failure to follow the instructions may result in a loss of marks.

College Students’ Marriage? No! Nowadays, college students’ marriage has attracted a lot of attention in our society. Some people maintain that college students should be allowed to get married. While others think it’s wrong for students to do so. As for me, I take the same view with the latter. There are three main reasons. First of all, college students have little contact with society. Their attitudes and values are still in the process of formation, and may change a lot after graduation. So the person we love on campus is not necessarily the one we want to marry when we are fully mature. Furthermore, marriage means responsibility. The blind pursuit of love at college may mislead us to find a person who is not really fit for us and eventually lead to some tragedy. Secondly, college is a place for students to study. If college students are allowed to get married, it will definitely influence their study. As a result, they can’t acquire enough knowledge and enhance abilities. When they graduate and prepare to find jobs, it will occur to them how stupid they are to waste time on other things instead of study. So once entering society, student couples may find it hard to find a good job since they have spend a lot of time on their marriage at college and some companies are unwilling to employ graduates who have already got married. Thirdly, college students still depend on their parents to live. But family life requires more money than one could imagine. So it’s a great burden for parents to afford their children’s tuition and at the same time save money to raise their grandchildren. Besides colleges don’t offer dormitory for student couple and it’s too dangerous for them to live outside the campus. Therefore, the chances of a successful marriage remain pretty slim. All in all, college students have the right to get married, but we need to do the right things at the right age. As a student, the first thing we need to do is to study. Only when we are mature and able to take the responsibilities to support a family can we consider to get married.
