However, when moved out of the greenhouse , it fades and withers in the storm. It is obvious that the flower in the greenhouse can’t withstand stormy weather. The drawings remind us of the young generation in China, who, like the flower in the greenhouse, lives under the wings of parents. Most Chinese parents, compared to the greenhouse, devote themselves to child-raising, sheltering their children from this competitive society where the fittest survive. Self-centeredness, arbitrariness and lack of independent spirit have become the traits of the young generation. What’s worse, these pampered children are susceptible to anxiety and even depression in response to failure and frustration. Apparently, this way of parenting makes the future tougher for the young generation. Flowers in the greenhouse fail to weather the wind and rain forever; it is life alone that can invisiblly hone their will. Deeply anxious parents should untie their children, cultivate their self-confidence, and help them to learn how to cope with many challenges further effectively. And yet, young people should also go out of "the greenhouse" to keep pace with growth.
