As for this topic, in my opinion, there are three points to consider, namely, encouraging teamwork, keeping to schedule and improving work efficiency. First, teamwork reflects the combined experiences, knowledge, intelligence and views of a group of people, so it will definitely improve the quality and efficiency of the work. If the participants worked together, it would be easy for them to come up with creative ideas, which is crucial in solving complicated matters in the process. If people did not work as a team, everyone would have to wait for the decisions made by the manager and it was not easy to get people to take on responsibility for anything. Second, time is always of essence for a project. Correct pricing policies can capture a large number of consumers, defeat some competitors in a short period of time. Secondly, advertising is the most important way to make the products known to the public. Good advertising strategies can not only propagandise your company but also compete against your rivals. A company, through proper advertisements, can manage to introduce the advantages of their products comparing to their rivals’, and therefore convince the consumers that their products would be the right choice. Thirdly, low production cost can make the price more favourable to consumers and the products more profitable. So reducing product cost is a magic weapon for business success. Finally, good after-sale service is also of great importance since it can upgrade the product reputation and attract more and more loyal customers in the long run. If you choose topic C: what is important when motivating staff? Managers, company owners and supervisors have always been frustrated and bewildered by employees with little or no motivation. In my opinion, there are three ways of motivating staff: The first one is offering financial benefits. For one thing, staff always wants reward for their contribution to the company and what they are worth. If the company fails to give proper financial benefits staff might subsequently feel not being fairly treated, and therefore frustrate their enthusiasm for their work. For another, staff wants some sort of recognition for the job that they do. Correct financial benefits plan will arouse their enthusiasm. otherwise they would feel being ignored. The second thing to consider is providing some career development opportunities for staff. Nowadays, in the two-way job-seeking process, while the employer is choosing its favourite people, the wise future employees will consider the training and career development opportunities with their future employer and try to make themselves more competitive in employment market. With career development opportunities, the employees can be both strengthened for the current job and better prepared for the future job, thus spare no effort in their allocated task. Last but not least, reducing staff turnover can best eliminate employees’ fear for loss of jobs, so they can be more engrossed into their work and have better performance. Moreover, it can also motivate the staff loyalty for the company, which is of great importance for its long-term development.
