问题    I am more of a host than a guest. I like
people to stay with me but do not much care about         【M1】______
staying with them, and usually say I am too busy.
The only people I ask to stay with me are people I
like, and every Friday I work in pleasant mood      【M2】______
just because I know some nice people are coming
down by the last train. I am glad to see them.
Besides I think that I am still more delighted when       【M3】______
they go, and the house is mine again. It is not I         【M4】______
feel that I have been mistaken about these guests,
though this has happened of course sometimes.
After the weekend I may like them more than
ever, have discovered new virtues and unsuspected         【M5】______
charms. Nevertheless, I am glad to see them go.
They leave more rooms in which to live properly.          【M6】______
Meals are quicker and easier. There is no more
hanging on, no more sight-seeing, no further        【M7】______
necessity for bright talk. My mind, like my body,
puts on its old shoes again. I enjoy hard work and
foolish play, and these are difficult where you are       【M8】______
cluttered up with guests. I like to think about life
in this world,  and it is not easy to do when       【M9】______
animated and talkative pieces of it are all over the
place. With guests about I am conscious myself as         【M10】______
a solid, but as soon as they have gone I turn into a
gas again. And a gas can have more delight than a
