    Mark: Anything interesting in the news?
    Linda: Nothing much, just the same old things about politics and celebrity gossip. But there was an accident yesterday on Broad Street.
    Mark: What happened?
    Linda: A car knocked down the roadside barrier and then run into a tree.
    Mark: How come? Was the driver drunk?
    Linda: No, he wasn’ t.
    Mark: Was he speeding then?
    Linda: No.
    Mark: That’ s curious. Then why did he lose control of the car?
    Linda: Because the truck right in front, which was loaded with large boxes,  suddenly dropped a box onto the ground.  Trying to avoid hitting the box, the driver turned left sharply, which was lucky, because there are five or six people on the side walk on the right.
    Mark: Oh! That was scary. Was the driver hurt?
    Linda: Yes, but not badly.  Witnesses called the police and the driver was brought to the hospital. He suffered from some bruises but otherwise, he’ s Okay.
    Mark: What a lucky escape!
    Linda: Yes, it was really dangerous. And the police are still trying to find out who should be responsible for the accident.
    Mark: I just hope it won’ t happen again.

答案 Yesterday a traffic accident happened on Broad Street. A driver was driving at normal speed behind a truck loaded with large boxes. Unexpectedly , a box dropped onto the ground. In order to avoid hitting the box, the driver turned left because there were several people on the right. The car hit a tree after running over the road side barrier. Witnesses called the police and the driver was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, he suffered only minor injuries.
