In view of China’s current resource reserves, many people say we have to stick to the family planning policy. Other people, however, differ in their opinions on this matter. A number of people relate many problems to the family planning policy, such as the shortage of labor force, accelerated growth of the aging population and the imbalance in male and female births. Therefore, they believe it’s high time to stop this policy. Everything will bring both positive and negative effects. If some measures can be taken, such as adjusting the subsidy policy, or providing more support to one-child families, the side-effects of the family planning policy can be limited to the minimum.
