答案
The Certificate Craze For more and more Chinese people, to get some certificates during their spare time has come into fashion. From languages to business skills to teaching, certificates act as proof that they are skilled in professional fields. What’s more, a resume with just degrees and work experiences looks a bit boring; certificates, like accessories, complete the outfit. Admittedly, there are a number of purposes responsible for this phenomenon, but the following are the most critical ones. First, people with certificates show their employers that they’re versatile and they have made an effort to learn skills outside their major or occupation. In addition, certificates are a clear indication that they are active; they don’t sit around in their spare time. Instead, they’re constantly looking forward to improving themselves. All of the above is what sets them apart from other applicants when applying for a sought-after position. In my opinion, certificates are attractive, but should not be over-emphasized. Other practical skills are of equal importance. To conclude, we should place a higher value on improving our ability instead of merely getting a certificate.
