What is the purpose of the announcement?

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Kahupata park. Before we begin today’s tour, I’d like to make a few announcements. The South American exhibit is closed for cleaning and maintenance, so we won’t be able to see the crocodile today. However, this will give us more time to spend in other areas in the park, where we will see a variety of animals from different parts of the world. The tour will last approximately 3 hours including a half hour break for lunch. We will be outdoors during most of our visit, so I recommend that you wear protective gear such as sunglasses and a hat. It’ s also a good idea to keep your camera nearby as you’ II have many opportunities to take great pictures.
