Melamine in the milk, pesticide in the fruits, and preservative in canned confection... The woman turns at a loss which to choose. The application of overdosed food addictives or even harmful industrial ingredients has been somewhat of an unwritten rule in the food industry. Without sensational media disclosures and tighter regulations by state authorities, the rule would have put more people’s health in danger. Never have concerns over food safety voiced by the public reached such a great extent. Our nerves can hardly stand any more news about seriously melamine-endangered infants. As ordinary consumers, we wish to get our money’s worth in exchange for safe and edible food. Fortunately, we are assured that most food producers are law-abiding and have been always making efforts to create sustainable development for their brands and products. Similarly, we are assured that government sectors concerned do take responsibility for the granting of business licenses and the random inspections for food quality. In this way, we can reassure ourselves that what we take are not poisons.
