During the long wait before fishes taking bait, a man leisurely reads a novel, eats bread and enjoys music while the other man is impatient and repeatedly checks his watch. The caption warns that people are usually too eager for the outcome to enjoy the process. This picture indicates that it is wise and advisable to peacefully enjoy the process rather than to be preoccupied with anxious longing for the outcome. This philosophy is true because our lives are mostly spent on processes of our pursuits. If we want to live a happy life, it is necessary to gladly, not anxiously, go through those processes. In addition, being impatient for results is not advocated also because it will probably lead people to act rashly and consequently exert destructive effect on fulfillment of expectations. For example, if a student can’t endure the long time it will take to form a solid knowledge system, he will possibly try to avoid accumulating knowledge steadily and then can hardly really become knowledgeable. The wisdom of wholeheartedly enjoying processes can be proved by the legends of failed heroes in O lympic Games. The players who are not able to win medals, instead of being bothered by doomed unfortunate endings, enjoy competition and happily demonstrate their best performance.
