In 2001, the economy continued to grow, which was a good beginning for the Tenth Five Year Plan. To begin with, the year’s GDP went up by 9.3%, the second highest in the province. Secondly, infrastructure development made major breakthroughs with the completion of many highway projects. Thirdly, the industrial structure achieved an improved ratio of 36:26:38 com pared to 38:25:37 of the previous year.
